Hallway Mirrors
Designing a hallway that is welcoming, functional, and stylish is super simple when bringing in one of our mirrors! A typical hallway is somewhat narrow, limiting the furnishings you can utilise to make the space appear polished. Using a mirror is an excellent way to conserve space, by mounting it upon the wall or leaning it against one.
Styling tips for hallway mirrors
A large mirror at the end of a hallway creates length due to an altered perception of the space. Positioning can influence the perception, so let’s say there’s not a convenient spot at the end of the hall, try parallel to a staircase, this will allow you to gain a new perspective that has not previously been explored. This will also allow you to check looks on the fly whilst keeping the movement of the space free and easy to navigate.
A Gallery wall is a great way to get a sense of style and taste whilst also paying homage to family and friends. For a cohesive and crisp aesthetic, match the photograph frames to the frame of your mirror, i.e. black metal frames with black metal frame, or a wooden framed mirror with wood frames for photographs. For an eclectic look, pair photo frames with all shapes, sizes, and materials alongside your mirror.
Materials are everything, buy a mirror that compliments or matches the hardware in the space, this could be sconces, drawer handles or the front door handle. This is like how you would match the frames, to create a cohesive appearance. This is also an excellent way to make the space feel more expensive when it just requires a little foresight and planning!
Make a statement, for bold wallpapers or murals, and find a way that the mirror can be fully incorporated into the design. Using a mirror that will enhance the design around it is a great way to lean into the functionality of a mirror whilst also keeping the design of the space interesting and fun.
